- Description
- Ammendment 01: Updated James Lovely's email address. Construction Project No. XQPZ 07-0210/11-0202, entitled 'Repair Bowling/Community Center Storefront'. The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) construction project, which is 100% SET ASIDE FOR COMPETITIVE 8(a) SMALL BUSINESS firms, with competition restricted to SBA Region VIII. All bidders must be registered on www.ccr.gov. The NAICS Code 236220, along with size standard $33.5 million applies. The procurement is entitled 'Repair Bowling/Community Center Storefront' at the United Stated Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to perform work for this project at the USAFA Bowling/Community Center in Colorado. Project will consist of a) removal/disposal of existing steel frame storefront system; b) installation of new Spandrel glass store front system; c) removal/disposal of existing wrought-iron hand railing and reinstallation of new code-compliant, powder-coated steel handrail and guardrail systems; d) new concrete sidewalk and concrete curb as required; and e) installation of lockable painted metal access hatches in the existing stucco soffits. Work is to be completed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will ONLY be available on the FBO website (www.fbo.gov). Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. NO HARD COPY DOCUMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE. All project information is available free of charge on the www.fbo.gov website. Contract completion time is 301 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. NO BIDDER'S MAILING LISTS ARE MAINTAINED WITH THE CONTRACTING OFFICER. The estimated dollar value for this procurement is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. All questions must be submitted in writing. No telephone calls will be returned. The solicitation will be issued on/about 9 August, 2012. A pre-bid meeting/walkthrough is scheduled for 20 August, 2012 at 1:00PM MST, attendance is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged. Please note, the time and place of the site visit may change due to mission requirements, and interested contractors will be notified. Contractors choosing to attend the site visit should notify the Contract Specialist, Audra Coppa AND James Lovely no later than 14 August 2012, at 02:00 PM MST. Contractors who do not possess a current Contractor Access Badge (CAB) to USAFA must submit a list of those attending with the individual's name, date of birth, home address, driver's license number and issuing state so passes can be made available to access the United States Air Force Academy. Anyone who plans to attend the site visit, but fails to contact the Contract Specialist prior to the deadline stated above will not be permitted to attend the site visit. The number of personnel for the site visit is limited to no more than four individuals per contractor. Proposals will be due at 4:00 PM MST (local time) on 10 September, 2012. Electronic and faxed bids will NOT be accepted. This project requires the successful contractor to secure bonding.
