Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation is set-aside 100% for Small Business. Firm, fixed-price offers are requested under Request for Quotations (RFQ) solicitation number G12PS00509. The U.S. Geological Survey, Indiana Water Science Center, Indianapolis, Indiana has a requirement for the retrofit of a new Ford E350 extended body cargo van to accommodate water quality sampling. Vendor shall supply and install equipment as follows: Remove current van top and replace with taller turtle type top to all people to stand up in the cargo space, installation of four (4) cabinets and two sets of drawers, counter tops, a sink and shelving, equip the van with batteries, power inverter and electrical outlets, equip the van with necessary safety equipment, protective cage between the passengers and workspace, install non-slip flooring and interior side panels, add trailer hitch and towing accessories so that the van can pull a boat trailer, storage area for sampling equipment, bottles and safety equipment required for a variety of sampling and weather conditions. Vehicle retrofit must be suited to allow two (2) people to stand up and work at a counter. Installation of all truck equipment shall occur within a 150 mile radius of Indianapolis, IN. All installations shall be completed within 60 days of contract award. Vehicle will be dropped off and picked up by WSC personnel on completion of the retrofit. There is no option period for this requirement. Quotes will due on 08/15/2012 The NAICS code is 238210 The anticipated award date of the contract is August 20, 2012. A vendor must be registered at http://www.sam.gov to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
