- Below RFP for writing and editing services has been amended to include one more item under requirement (highlighted) USAID/Afghanistan is soliciting proposals from a qualified individual or firm for writing and editing services as described below. - Editing for language, context and accuracy at least 100 fact sheets for USAID database on Afghanistan with detailed technical information (sample fact sheet is attached ) - Editing "Success Stories, "Snapshots" and "Case Studies"' (samples are attached ) For complete solicitation package, please visit: http://afghanistan.usaid.gov/en/opportunities/procurement_opportunities Requirement: Experienced writer/editor or firm to develop a data bank on all USAID programs being conducted in Afghanistan. Fact sheet for each program must include a clear and concise description of the program, providing detailed description of objectives, main activities, results. The incumbent or firm must have a minimum of 15 years experience in journalism and a minimum of three years editing experience at the level of senior editor. Must be able to work independently without supervision. Prior in-country experience with USAID projects in Afghanistan is required. The interested individual or firm should submit their cost proposal on hourly rate and submit at least three writing samples of a minimum of 150 words. Please submit your Proposal via email to asamad@usaid.gov not later than COB Friday, August 31, 2012. General Information: When preparing your proposal, please consider the following: 1. Payment will be processed within 30 days following receipt and acceptance of the services and proper invoice. 2. Per USAID acquisition guidelines, please be advised that this request is not a commitment by USAID to support the activity and that your decision to submit your proposal is at your discretion and any expenses associated with preparation and submittal of the proposal are your responsibility. It is contemplated that a firm fixed-price Purchase Order will be awarded to that responsible offeror whose proposal will represent the best value lowest price for the US Government. Proposal should be submitted on the most favorable terms. Issuance of this solicitation does not constitute an award commitment on the part of the U.S. Government nor does it commit the U.S. Government to pay for the cost incurred in the submission of a proposal. Further, the Government reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, and to negotiate separately with an offeror, if such action is considered to be in the best interest of the Government. If your are unable to, or choose not to submit a proposal you are requested to so advise this office whether you desire to be included in future USAID solicitations.
