- Line Item 0001: NSN 1730010877148RN, Part Number160D497840-3, Hoisting Unit, Aircraft The engine installation hoist assembly is used for installing and removing the engines of the A-10A aircraft. The engine installation hoist assembly consists of the following major assemblies and parts: Sling Assembly, Trolley Assembly, Engine Installation Beam Assembly, Quick Release Pins, Quick Cable Disconnects, Jet Engine Hoist Assembly, Aft Cowl Supports and Trolley Assembly, Manual Hoist Assembly, and Manual Hoist Mounts. Various metals are required. Basic Quantity for Item 0001 is five (5) each. Also included are four (4) options: Option I for a quantity range of 1-11 EA, Option II for a quantity range of 1-11 EA, Option III for a quantity range of 1-11 EA and Option IV for a quantity range of 1-11 EA. Options may be exercised for USAF or FMS. Delivery is required 180 days ARO Contract/Exercise of Option, as applicable. Basic quantity is for USAF requirements and will ship (1) each to FE6221 and (4) each to FE6132. Delivery locations for options will be determined at time option(s) is exercised. Line Item 0002: Engineering Change Proposal and Notice of Revision data line items Delivery in accordance with DD1423-1. THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around August 16, 2012. Proposals will be due on or before September 17, 2012. The RFP and technical data package will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FEDBIZOPPS site prior to submission of proposal. Based upon market research, the Government is not using policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. All questions regarding the RFP and/or the data package must be submitted in writing to Tosha.Wilson-Davis@robins.af.mil with copy to Kathryn.Canady@robins.af.mil. NO TELEPHONE QUESTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. All questions and answers will be uploaded to FBO. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included.
