Description

The Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price Construction contract award to a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). 1. The project consists of: a.Installing dental vacuum pumps and piping. b.Replacing the stainless steel sink in SPS. c.Replacing a section of sewer piping in warehouse Building 7. d.Install panic alarm buttons in rooms 7, 1072, 1123A, 2042, 2107S, at the nurse ™s station on 3 east, and 7084. e.Install card access on the door to the stairwell 7 vestibule (exterior door). f.Install card access on doors to the warehouse. g.Provide sound masking for the Health Administrative Service. h.Relocate police car video equipment. 2.Contractor must insure that no work affects the normal operation of the Medical Center. 3.Contractor will be required to conduct work off normal work hours (2nd and 3rd shift and weekends). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. The U.S. Small Business Administration Size Standard is $33,500,000.00. The SOLICITATION issue date will be approximately AUGUST 13, 2012 with an approximate response date of SEPTEMBER 13, 2012. A pre-bid meeting and site visit will be scheduled around AUGUST 20, 2012. Contractors are encouraged to read the entire solicitation and send questions to the Contracting Officer before the pre-bid meeting. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business set-aside. The project magnitude is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Priced Contract. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) web site https://www.fbo.gov/index?cck=1&au=&ck=. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be available. The SOW, contract drawings and specifications will be available when the solicitation is posted. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the EPS website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
