- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13 to acquire the Boston Symphony Orchestra Hall for a band concert in support of the United States Marine Corps Band, located in Boston, Massachusetts. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above services to a large business, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Inc., 301 Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA 02115-4557. The Government intends to solicit only one source in the amount of $15,955.00. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. DURATION: This requirement is for 1 night, Friday 19 October 2012. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for quotation. No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax, or email request will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
