Description
Statment of Work NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: NOAA/National Marine Fisheries Service/Northeast Fisheries Science Center, intends to issue a purchase order under FAR 13.501, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to New England Aquarium, on a Sole Source bases to purchase the following services: 0001: Preseason SEUS - the contractor shall distribute the most recent list of adult females that are available to calf for the upcoming calving season 0002: Near Real time ID Verification - the contractor shall provide information on all whales submitted to the FTP site in near-real time (within 1-2 business days of a submission of mothers and calves, 2-10 days on all other whales). Period of Performance is September 29, 2012 - December 30, 2013. The Government intends to award a Firm-fixed Price sole source purchase order to the New England Aquarium. The New England Aquarium is the sole contractor that has the capabilities and software to perform the required tasks. The associated NAICS Code is 541690 and the business size standard is $14 Million in average annual receipts. All responses received within 7 days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 12:00PM EST, August 6, 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005- 2005-60 effective July 26, 2012. This requirement is determined to be available from one source because of its unique requirements. No request for quote for this procurement will be transmitted via Federal Business Opportunities. Posting date of this requirement is July 30, 2012.
