Repair Services for Robotic Camera Heads The purpose of this performance work statement (PWS) is to repair two existing robotic camera positioning systems that are an integral part of the Orad Virtual Set system used to support the VA Central Office Studio. The Mini Head Control (mHCU) unit is attached to the 436VR robotic camera positioning head system and supports the control interface between the RCP-2 (Remote Control Panel) and the robotic head. The mHCU provides continuous position information for pan, tilt, zoom and focus that is used by the Orad virtual set system to maintain the correct perspective and positioning of the 3D digital virtual sets that are created to support various VACO programs and live broadcasts. Due to voltage surges related to studio power problems that have been corrected, two of the mHCU systems have failed components that prevent head position telemetry to be relayed to the Orad HDVG media compositing system which is critical to the operation of virtual set system. Items and quantities are listed below: Item No. Model Description HK 185-098-0007-DBmHCUMini Head Control Unit HK 185-098-0007-DB mHCUMini Head Control Unit HK436-002-0001-DC436VRRobotic Camera Head Unit (failed SPI card) P/N HK-705-122-0002 DA with HK-705-123 Apex daughter card Task 10.1: Test and repair or replace SPI card for 436VR robotic head.
