- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial services and/or supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The government intends to acquire services using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ship Oscar Dyson and Rainier has a requirement for Oily Waste Separator Systems CWWS Upgrade Kits. Accepting proposal for purchase of (1) Coffin World Water Systems (CWWS) ULTRA-SEP-500-HC Upgrade Kit for NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson and (1) Coffin World Water Systems (CWWS) ULTRA-SEP-1000-HC Upgrade Kit for NOAA Ship Rainier. It has been determined that the current CWWS HELI-SEP systems fitted to NOAA Ship's Oscar Dyson and Rainier require upgrades to meet USCG/MEPC.107.49 requirements.ULTRA-SEP-500-HC and ULTRA-SEP-1000-HC Upgrade Kits are manufactured by Coffin World Water Systems to bring these systems up to USCG/MEPC.107.49 requirements. 2. REFERENCE MATERIAL 2.1. Cost/Benefit Analysis Study for Greening the NOAA Fleet AAA-048 (09) 2.2. Cost/Benefit Analysis Study for Greening the NOAA Fleet, Appendix A-3-1: NOAA Oily Waste Separator Systems 2.3. Cost/Benefit Analysis Study for Greening the NOAA Fleet, Appendix A-3-2: USCG Approved/MEPC.107(49) Oily Waste Separators - Marine Industry Comparison 3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Proposals must include detail of all costs (on a per ship basis) associated with supplying all materials and equipment. Interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. All responses must be in writing and may be faxed to 206-526-6025 or email ( melvin.n.fondue@noaa.gov ). This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $150,000. **** The Westren Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registey (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http//www.ccr.gov.
