Description
This project is a Full Facility Restoration (FFR) project to renovate and repair Buildings 5516, 5517, and 5518 at Fort Dix, NJ. Each building is approximately 40,000 square feet (sf). The project will house the Non-Commissioned Officers Academy (NCOA). Renovations include repair of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and telecommunications. Interior repair includes corridors, restrooms, ceilings, lighting, doors, sprinklers, and finishes. Exterior work includes site work, addition of exterior stair, and replacement of windows. The base bid is renovation and repair of Building 5517 (classroom building). The options are renovation and repair of Building 5516 (billeting), renovation and repair of Building 5518 (barracks), and a new parking lot. This project is a Full and Open procurement. The target ceiling for contract award is $20,420,000. Offerors are under no obligation to approach this ceiling. The estimated cost range for this project is $20M to $30M. The construction contract duration is approximately 480 calendar days. The NAICS code is 236220. The Business Size Standard is $33.5M. The proposals will be evaluated using the Best Value Process. Proposals will be evaluated based on the following technical factors: Experience, Past Performance, Safety, Management, and Price and Pro Forma Requirements. The approximate issue date is 10 August 2012 and approximate proposal due date is 11 September 2012 at 12:00pm Eastern Time. All Offerors are invited to attend a Site Visit tentatively scheduled for 20 August 2012. This project is subject to availability of funds; funds are not presently available. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. Project documents will be issued via the web only.
