- This Small Business Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Library of Medicine Office of Acquisitions, NIDDK Acquisitions Branch, is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing: A 32-channel OmniPlex Data Acquisition System. Includes: 1) processor, control software, 16-bit, 40kHz A/D, 32 digital inputs, BNC interface, 32-channel Amp, and Offline Sorter (2 USB keys), 2) data cable for 16 preamp channels, 15' length, 3) Multiplexing 30-channel 100x gain headstage with filter and 4 wire cable; for use with 10-wire commutator(SL_88-10), 4) 30ch DEMUX receiver Gain 6 with analog outputs, 5) 1/30 voltage divider for OmniPlex Amplifier (26 pin harwin to 26 pin harwin), for use with 600x gain TBSI wireless headstage system, overall headstage and voltage divider gain = 20x, overall headstage and voltage divider low-cut filter = 2 Hz, 6) HST/MP-30 cable, 7) Four channel commutator with single brush; for use with mux system, 8)32-channel VLSI headstage, 20x gain, 9) Headstage cable for 32 channel VLSI headstage, ultra-fine wire (36 gauge), 36" length, 10) Headstage tester unit for 32-channel VLSI headstage, 11) Digital input cable for OmniPlex System; bare wire (no connector ) at distal end, 15 ft. length, 12) Cineplex digital video recording and neural data file sync system, version 3, includes CPX Studio and Editor Software, CPX license, DIO PCI card, CBL/CPX-OPX cabl3, PCIe FireWire card (1A, 2B ports), 13) CinePlexV3tracking option - online and offline tracking/editing, calibration, complex arenas, 14) CinePlex Behavior - static and dynamic zones, events, digital output (requires CPT-V3); includes USB DO, 15) AVT Stingray camera, CS-mount with FireWire-B and trigger cables, tripod adapter, and mounting kit; 80 FPS capture in single and dual camera mode; removable filter for recording in infrared mode, 16) CPX-Lens 3X 4.5-12.5mm F1.2 ½ CS mount - standard lens, 17) NeuroExplorer data analysis software, version 4, manual, three seat license (3 USB keys), 18) Dell 4-core, W7-64, 3.2 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB and 1 TB hard drives, nVidia dual video, DVD/CD, Office 2010, Acrobat, 19) 24" wide-aspect flat panel LCD monitor - for use with Omniplex systems, 20) Oscilloscope, digital, 40MHz, 2 channels, 500 MS/s, color display, USB port, 21) On-site installation and training. Interested firms with the capability of providing the required items are requested to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 334516 with a business size standard of 500 employees. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide a capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed 15 pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Your capability statement should include references. Three (3) copies of the capability statement must be received at the address identified in this synopsis on August 6, 2012. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provided feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in Federal Business Opportunities. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate response to a solicitation. Confidentiality: "No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation (s)."
