Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Office of Mine Safety and Health Research (OMSHR) have intent to issue a Purchase Order to TSI, Inc. for annual service and calibration (2 visits per year), for model 8130 filter testers, S/N 123, 130, 250, 252, and 255. This acquisition is for certification of particulate respirators under 42 CFR 84. The Respirator branch of NPPTL tests evaluates and certifies respirators in accordance with federal standard Title 42, Code of Regulations, Part 84. In support of the respirator certification program, the laboratory equipment utilized must be maintained within the operating parameters that the manufacturer specifies. Problems encountered with this sensitive test equipment cannot always be corrected in-house by laboratory personnel; thus it is essential to have the expertise and support available to keep this program up and running. TSI, Incorporated controls copyrights, patent rights, trade secrets, technical data, and proprietary information such as schematics diagrams and calibration data which are essential for troubleshooting and repair of the instruments in question. Responsible Sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the posting date of this notice, their written item description/item characteristics and pricing information in the format they choose, not to exceed 10 pages. Please forward the item description and pricing information to James Ambrozic, CDC / NIOSH, 626 Cochrans Mill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236, and Reference 2012-Q-49041. All Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registry (CCR) prior to an award of a federal contract. The website is www.ccr.gov. The Government will review any/all item descriptions and pricing information submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could provide this requirement. Information received in response will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days, in accordance with FAR 13.103-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with, TSI Incorporated, 500 Cardigan Rd, Saint Paul, MN., as the only source and a Purchase Order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
