- The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with System Planning Corporation, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), Spacesaver Systems, Inc. will provide the materials and services to relocate and expand an existing storage system. There is no solicitation regarding this sole-source synopsis. Only written responses received by August 9, 2012 will be accepted. This notice is neither a request for quotations nor a solicitation of offers. The government's market research has determined that no other source is available to fulfill its requirements without substantial duplication of costs to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, as well as unacceptable delays in fulfilling the USSS' requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement on a full and open competitive basis is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Only written responses sent via electronic mail will be accepted. Responses are to be directed to april.delancy@usss.dhs.gov. The responses must be received within by August 9, 2012 at 11:00 am Eastern Time. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
