- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCDPHP), Division of Reproductive Health (DRH) contemplate award of a Firm Fixed Price Sole Source Purchase Order to The American Academy of Pediatrics of Illinois. The work shall be performed at the Contractor's facility. The Period of Performance shall be from August 16, 2012 - August 15, 2013. The North American Industrial Classification Standards (NAICS) Code is 611430 and Standard Business Size of $7M. The sole source award will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirement. This requirement is a continuation of services already provide and is not set aside for small businesses. American Academy of Pediatrics of Illinois is the sole source for a training course designed to provide pediatricians the skills, knowledge and motivation needed to screen adolescent clients for sexual activity, and provide appropriate counseling about contraception and other sexual/reproductive health matters; and the potential to reach pediatricians with the training on a national scale. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and perform all work required to develop and pilot a core set of training materials designed to provide pediatricians the knowledge, skills and motivation to screen adolescents for sexual activity, and to counsel them about contraception and other reproductive health matters. The contractor shall possess the following qualifications: Be a national professional medical association serving a large number of pediatricians and have established network of communication with pediatricians on a national scale. CDC is not requesting competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the services required are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, by August 14, 2012. Determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will assume all financial costs for preparing a response to this notice. The U.S. Government assumes no financial obligation for the preparation and distribution of prepared responses.
