- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCDPHP), Division of Cancer Prevention and Control (DCPC) contemplate award of a Firm Fixed Price Sole Source Purchase Order to John Wiley & Sons of New Jersey. The work shall be performed at the Contractor's facility. The Period of Performance shall be from August 16, 2012 - August 15, 2013. The North American Industrial Classification Standards (NAICS) Code is 611430 and Standard Business Size of $7M. The sole source award will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirement. This requirement is a continuation of services already provide and is not set aside for small businesses. John Wiley & Sons of New Jersey is the sole procurement for supplement on CDC's National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP in Cancer, Interdisciplinary International Journal of the American Cancer Society. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and perform all work required to provide on-going editing requirement for submission of manuscripts to John Wiley & Sons who developed a special issue on the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. The contractor shall perform the editorial services of the manuscript and the final layout of the articles on Cancer. The contractor shall possess the following qualifications: Experience completing editorial services of cancer manuscripts. The vendor must also have access to the articles on Cancer, in which the supplement will appear. This requirement I s not for publication or printing, but for editing requirements for submission of manuscripts to an existing publication. Cancer was selected for this special issue on the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program which John Wiley & Sons is the publisher of this journal. This is the only contractor that can perform all the requirements of this task because they are the publisher of The Articles published on Cancer. The articles on Cancer are the most appropriate outlet for this issue because of targeting an oncology journal for this supplement. CDC is not requesting competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the services required are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, by August 14, 2012. Determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will assume all financial costs for preparing a response to this notice. The U.S. Government assumes no financial obligation for the preparation and distribution of prepared responses.
