Description

Department of Veterans Affairs Columbus Chalmers P. Wylie Ambulatory Care Center, 420 North James Road, Columbus, Ohio seeks a source capable of rendering professional component medical services for comprehensive radiology services, to include diagnostic and interventional radiology. Columbus VA staff will render non-professional component services required to support the contractor in the daily performance of the contract. Contractor shall provide board certified/eligible Radiologist(s) to perform the requirements of this contract. Contractor staff assigned to Columbus VAACC must be qualified, at minimum, as General Diagnostic Radiologists certified to read a variety of modalities including, but not limited to, General Diagnostic, Fluoroscopy, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA), Computerized Tomography (CT), Computerized Tomography Angiography (CTA), Coronary Computerized Tomography Angiography, Interventional, Nuclear Medicine General Diagnostic, Cardiac Nuclear Medicine, General Diagnostic, Ultrasound, including Vascular Ultrasound, Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Carotid, and Bone Densitometry. This contract may include, but not be limited to, procedures such as Virtual Colonoscopy or Myelograms, or other Interventional Radiology Services. Additional services rendered under the scope of general or specialized Radiologist Services may be required during the terms of this contract; these services shall be considered included and inclusive to this section, not precluding any language to the alternative in this contract. Contractor's onsite staff can request remote interpretation assistance from other Contractor staff members who are credentialed and privileged to perform the service by Columbus VAACC. Costs associated with remote assistance/service will be rendered exclusively at Contractor's expense, with no additional or related charges assessed to the Government. Contractor is responsible for having and /or acquiring all the necessary services and equipment needed to receive the transmission(s) to make an acceptable interpretation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621111, Size Standard $10 M. It is the VA's intent to solicit proposals and award a contract on a competitive basis pending availability of funds. The contract period will be twelve (12) months from date of award with the possibility of (2) one year option which will be exercised at the Government's discretion. The solicitation will be release on or about July 24, 2012. Telephone inquires will not be accepted. No response to this notification is necessary. The sole purpose is to provide interested parties with a release update for the solicitation.
