- Description
- An oral request for quotation will be solicited for the following item: Bootwall, Tan, Type I, Class 2, Modular Command Post Tent to M577 Tracked Command Post Vehicle, 250 each, NSN 8340-01-380-2241. This item is to be manufactured in accordance in accordance with Purchase Description MIL-DTL-44400A, dated April 7, 2000. This solicitation will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The destinations for this item are SG2 (Defense Distribution Depot, Barstow, CA) and AN5 (Defense Distribution Depot, New Cumberland, PA). There will be two deliveries, each 125 units. The first delivery will be due 150 days after date of award, and the final delivery will be due 180 days after date of award. One each First Article Sample will be due 75 days after date of award. Specifications, patterns, drawings or other applicable documents, can be obtained by contacting Kim Hartzell by e-mail at kimberly.hartzell@dla.mil until August 8, 2012. DFARS clause 252.211-7006 "Radio Frequency Identification" applies to this solicitation. The Defense Appropriations and Authorization Acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
