Description

JOTFOC for authorizing SAIC to purchase Fluke products. Authority: The item is peculiar to one manufacturer. A brand name item, available on various schedule contracts,is an item peculiar to one manufacturer [FAR 8.405-7(a)(4)(iii)]. Fluke Generator p/n 9460A-STD 115v; Fluke 4 wire short lead p/n 884X-Short; Fluke Low Thermal Test Lead Set p/n 5440A-7002. The Reference Generator that the client seeks to purchase is being manufactured with an obsolete version of calibration. Fluke was only able to secure enough parts to satisfy this requirement and this will be the last time this version will be available for order. SAIC attempted to get competition on the parts listed on their request from Fluke. They were only successful with one of the common pieces sold through many distributors. Fluke is the manufacturer of these products and have refused to quote their distributors for the procurement of the Reference Generator (9460A-STD) and Test Lead Set (5440A-7002).
