Description

AMENDMENT NOTICE: Amendment 0001. This amendment hereby replaces and supersedes the original posted solicitation for the 3-year maintenance, inspection and testing of electrical power distribution system at Canandaigua Veterans Administration Medical Center posted on June 22, 2012. The purpose of this amendment is to change the response date of July 21, 2012. The proposal due date and time is hereby extended to August 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM EDT. This amendment also adds the inspection of: (1) thirteen pad mounted medium voltage switches, (2) twenty eight automatic switch gears and (3) two pad mounted 4160/480 volt transformers, see attached list of additional equipment to be inspected. This notice constitutes a combined synopsis and solicitation in accordance with FAR Part 12. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Canandaigua, New York intends to award a firm, fixed price service contract to perform 3-year testing of the facility's electrical distribution system. Contractor shall provide inspection, testing and maintenance service (in accordance with Veterans Health Administration Directive 2006-056) for the electrical distribution system including all labor, material and equipment for the Canandaigua Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) located at 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua, New York 14424-1159. Contractor must provide evidence of insurance coverage to the Contracting Officer. This project is subject to the Service Contract Act. The applicable NAICS code is 541330 and the size standard is $4.5 million. The solicitation package will be available on or about June 21, 2012. The date for receipt of quotations is scheduled for August 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM EDT. The period of performance for the work is 60 calendar days after date of award. All relevant solicitation documents may be accessed for download on the date of issue at the following website: http://www.fbo.gov. Any amendments to the solicitation will be posted solely to this web site. It is the responsibility of the offeror to verify the number of amendments issued.
