- This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for information purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, OR BIDS. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Businesses, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed contract. Contract will consist of two sections of steel sheet pile bulkhead fronted by a large stone revetment placed on large scour protection mats. The project is located on the Absecon Inlet Frontage of Atlantic City from Oriental Avenue to Atlantic Avenue totaling 1,100 linear feet. All work will be performed in the marine environment and at exposure to the tidal waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Work may include, but is not limited to: driving of large steel sheet pile wall; removal and reuse of existing stone; excavation; placement of stone filled marine foundation mattress; placement of articulated concrete block mattress; placement of concrete bulkhead protection; placement of core stone; placement of capstone ranging in weight between 6 and 14 tons; extension or new placement of storm water outfalls, and the demolition and removal of wood and concrete piles and remnant boardwalk structure. The project will consist of a base and one or more options for additional lengths of seawall. All work and services under this project (including all options) shall be completed no later than 180 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. Estimated cost range of the project is $10,000,000.00 to $25,000,000.00 including options. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 with a size standard of $20.0 mil. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should submit a narrative demonstrating their Specialized Experience in similar type contracts, Past Performance, Key Personnel. Capability statements should include size/classification of your firm, details of similar projects, completion dates, references and contract amount. Narratives shall be no longer than FIVE (5) pages. Responses should be sent to Sandi Fletcher at Sandra.G.Fletcher@usace.army.mil to reach this office on or before July 26, 2012 no later than 3:00 p.m.
