Description

Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm fixed price contract, to be negotiated on a sole source basis with Dresser-Rand Company per FAR 6.302, for on-site OEM technical field representative services for required assessment and repair of Ship ™s Service Air Compressors (SSAC) and High Pressure Air Compressors (HPAC) on board a naval vessel. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition for services is to be performed at Naval Base Everett, WA and will be made in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15 utilizing LPTA evaluation factors. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 25, 2012 with a closing date of July 31, 2012. Required period of performance is from August 20, 2012 through September 28, 2012 with expected award date on or before August 20, 2012. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price service type contract. Prospective offeror ™s not on CCR-registry should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunities with solicitation number N00406-12-R-2097. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO website. Prospective offeror ™s are responsible for checking the NECO website early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offeror ™s should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO website is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror ™s inability to access the document posted on the referenced website.
