- Solicitation Number: VA118A-12-R-0110 (Request for Proposal) Notice Type: Pre-solicitation Synopsis: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center - Austin, 1701 Directors Blvd, Suite 600, Austin TX 78744, is preparing to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA118A-12-R-0110, for records handling support services for the VA Records Center and Vault (RCV). This RFP will be set aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors. Each SDVOSB must be registered in the VetBiz Vendor Information Pages database in order to be eligible to submit a proposal. The database is located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. The RCV is a subterranean records storage facility located in Neosho, MO. The RCV consists of an office/dock area and nine inter-connected storage rooms filled with rows of shelving units up to 14 feet tall. The Center stores approximately 1.7 million one-cubic foot boxes of records weighing 25 to 50-lbs each. Boxes are bar-coded and scanned to a shelf to remain until records are either recalled by the customer, or reach their retention period and are destroyed. The records handling support services being procured require contractor staff to work in assigned areas to perform warehouse support which includes recalls, re-files, interfiles, facility leak and safety checks, general facility maintenance and outbound mail and clerical support in accordance with RCV-established policies and procedures. A labor-hour contract is contemplated. This action will be for a 1-year base and four 1-year options.
