Description: The purpose of this action is to provide the physician with the capability to perform surgical procedures on a patient off-site, providing quicker response to life threatening injuries. It is necessary for WRNMMC-Bethesda to train surgeons to operate the Army design, and to have its own system to allow physicians to train and become familiar with the system in case they are needed to provide remote care. Because this system is at the joint WRNMMC-Bethesda facility, it is even more imperative to have the same system as used within the Army. This procurement is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302. Interested parties may respond to the requirement no later than 26 July 2012, 12 Noon, EDT. The Government intends to issue a Firm, Fixed Price (FFP) type contract for this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339113 and the size standard is 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a response. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement will be based on responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. A solicitation will not be issued. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 10:00 AM EDT, 26 JULY 2012. Oral, facsimile and telephone inquiries will not be accepted response to this notice.
