This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, VHA NCO 07 - 534 - Charleston, SC intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. A Seller may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. VHA NCO 07 - 534 - Charleston, SC is taking this action in an effort to improve both seller access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time bids.All responsible Sellers that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. Bid MUST be good for 90 calendar days after close of Buy QUESTION: Item #9 SERVER: TEMP TRAK SERVER/SYSTEM (EXCLUDING SQL SERVER SOFTWARE), 1, EA; - The engineers seem to feel the VA will never accept a server from an outside company and if that is the case we would have to put the software on an existing server, preferably a virtual machine. If you could please clarify this issue. ANSWER: Server will not be connected to the medical center LAN so that is not a problem. QUESTION: There does not appear to be mention of a support contract which you most likely will want. Please clarify the support contract issue. ANSWER: The package should only include the one year warranty once system is fully operational for a reasonable period of time and not an ongoing service contract.
