Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1. General. The Aircraft Fire Training Facility located on Biggs Army Airfield, Fort Bliss, Texas is in need of repairs. This facility is used by Fort Bliss firefighters, local El Paso firefighters, and military firefighters. Currently, only half of the seven burners are operational diminishing the training firefighters receive. A. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and new materials to complete all work specified in the scope of work, unless specified, all materials shall be first quality. B. All work accomplished shall be in accordance with accepted trade standards and practices. C. Only personnel licensed to perform such work shall perform plumbing work, digging and machinery. Licenses shall be presented to the contracting officer upon award of contract. D. Safety: All work will be accomplished in accordance with the U.S. Air Force Technical Order 35E1-2-13-1 (Technical Manual Operation and Maintenance Instruction Manual, Aircraft Fire Training Facility, 1 June 2002). Safety procedures specified by the manual are a requirement for this work. In Accordance with the Performance Work Statement. Everyone who is accepting the terms and conditions of the Solicitation and providing a Proposal will provide a cost break down to include but not limited to: Material Labor Direct cost Indirect cost G&A Profit 52.236-27 SITE VISIT (CONSTRUCTION) (FEB 1995) The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. Accordingly, offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. All offerors that wish to attend need to request in writing, by emailing SSG Berry no later than 6 July 2012 at 9:00AM. All Email confirmation wishing to attend Site visit received after that time will not be able to be escorted to site location. If no offerors respond by the prescribed attendance confirmation date than no Site visit will be held.
