Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a Purchase Order to the ZRT Laboratory, LLC. The purpose of this procurement is to acquire the services of laboratory testing for analysis of an HDL, hsCRP, HbA1c and Total Cholesterol Test Panel on up to 375 dried blood spot samples collected on up 125 survey participants in the Home Measures Health Survey. This service will be required from August 22, 2012 through Febraury 17, 2013. These blood samples collected via dried spots are easier, cheaper, and safer to take and store than blood samples collected with a blood draw (veni-pucture). The anticipated award date is August 22, 2012. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification, as well as, a capability statement to the contracting office by 12:00 p.m. eastern standard time on August 17, 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed actions based on responses to this notice is solely within its discretion. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
