Description
THIS IS A PROPOSED SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENTIS NOTICE. Interested parties may respond to this notice by contacting Michael Fatale at 267-528-1421 prior to 02 August 2012. The National Park Service intends to issue a purchase order to Wireless Electronics, Inc. for the purchase, installation and programming of two repeaters within the Narrowband Motorola Repeater System. The repeater system transmits intrusion detection from buildings that don't have fiber optic connections and transmits the encrypted two-way handheld radio communications for park staff. In addition, the company will move the repeater location lower in INDE HALL tower and re-deploy the existing repeater antennas to better locations. located at Independence National Historical Park, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Wireless is the company that designed, installed and continuously serviced the existing system. They are also the programmers of our encryption coding for the park's narrowband two-way radio and repeater system. It is due to this code and their knowledge of our encrypted system that they are considered the only practical source that perform this work at this time. The Government, therefore, intends to solicit, negotiate, and/or purchase this requirement on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 as only one responsible source is available to provide this service. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes; however, any and all responses must be received within 15 days of this notice. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
