- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is LV-A110374 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-58. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 335999 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2012-07-19 16:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Sandstone, MN 55072 The Federal Bureau of Prisons requires the following items, Brand Name or Equal, to the following: LI 001, JonesZylon, JZ12UBT, Heated Universal Bulk Transport Cart, Cabinets will be constructed of a 20 guage 300 series Stainless steel exterior and interior, 16 guage stainless steel base frame with reinforced cross channels, 1" thick high-density fiberglass insulation top, bottom, and sides. The door will also be 20 guage 300 series stainless stell exterior and interior with 12 guarge stainless steel hinges that are fully welded to cabinet and door that also has a 270 degree swing. The doors will have a flush-mount stainless steel recessed pull, magnetic latch, and face-mounted gasket and a 12 guage lockable stanless steel transport latch, fully welded to cabinet. Tray slides will be 16 guage stainless steel universal tray slides welded to 120 guage mounting channels. Tray slide raching assembly must be removable for cleaning. Must be able to hold up to (18) 18 x 26 sheet pans. 5 inch heavy duty poly caster wheels. Fully perimeter vinyl bumper attached to 16 guage stainless steel pan. Two fully welded stainless steel push handles. 120 volts, 1000 watts, 8.3 amps single phase, 15 amp cord 12 guage stainless steel cord wrap fully welded to cabinet and door. Recessed digital temperature control fastened with security screws. Dimensions 72"H x 34" D x 29"W., 1, EA; Solicitation and Buy Attachments ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. Federal Bureau of Prisons is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids.All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.
