Description
The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends to issue a Commercial Request for Proposal (RFP) for the annual Fire Suppression System Inspection of the 73 (seventy-three) 87 Foot and the 35 (thirty-five) 110 Foot Patrol Boats in accordance with the specification as provided with the solicitation. Period of Performance: It is the Coast Guard's intention to make one or more awards for a firm fixed price five (5) year IDIQ contract, with one (1) base year and four (4) option years to be awarded for this requirement. This procurement will be a Small Business set aside. All responsible Small business concerns may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The small business size standard for NAICS 336611 is less than 1,000 employees. The solicitation will be issued electronically as a Best Value Request for Proposal (RFP) on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web page at http://www.fbo.gov on or about July 13, 2012 with quotes due on or about August 13, 2012. Please sign up for the Auto Notification Service to receive an e-mail from FedBizOpps when an action is taken under this solicitation. This commercial item requirement is set-aside for small business concerns and will be evaluated where as Past Performance is more important than Price. The contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, and all equipment necessary to perform the fire suppression system inspections. All inspection services will be performed at the vessels homeport. A list of the respective homeports for the cutters will be provided with the solicitation. This work will include, but is not limited to: FM-200 Fixed Fire Suppression Cylinders, Hydro-Test FM-200 Fixed Fire Suppression Cylinders, Inspect Halon System, Inspect and Hydro Test 110-Range Guard Fire Suppression System, Inspect and Test CO2 Fire Suppression, Inspect and Test CO2 Cylinders, Inspect and Hydrostatically test 87-Range Guard Fire Suppression System, Inspect and Test Composite Labor Rate For information concerning this acquisition, contact Mr. Louis J.
