Description
Salient characteristics - Tank: Double-walled, dual baffled, DOT fuel tank for holding, transferring or transporting fuel - GASOLINE only. Minimum fuel capacity shall be 1,200 US gallons, not to exceed 1300 gallons. Minimum five year warranty on inner/outer tank integrity. The design of the fuel tank shall be such that the fuel tank mounts inside the outer tank. The outer tank shall be large enough to hold all the fuel should the inner fuel tank break, crank or leak (110 percent capacity in the interstice). The inner-tank shall have: 3 inch (min) top fill lockable filler cap, with 2 gallon (min) spill containment. 100 percent of the inside of the inner tank shall be lined with Amercoat 90HS White Resin and Cure Epoxy-phenolic tank lining or equivalent. Dual - full walled baffles to prevent fuel from knocking out the head walls. 10-guage carbon steel (min. thickness) construction with NO skip welds. Tanks shall be pressure tested. Fuel tank level gauge. Fuel pump ON/OFF controls. Triple venting system (Trident Combination Vent: inflow, outflow, and emergency venting, with overturn) for safe storage and transfer of gasoline. The pressure activated emergency vent shall be factory flow tested and marked in accordance with D.O.T. and N.F.P.A. One (1) Fusible plug (103,000 CFH) flow tested and marked in accordance with D.O.T. and N.F.P.A. 385. Fusible Plug must be installed with lettering facing the outside of tank and made visible and accessible through a view hole in the outer tank. 4-digit fuel flow meter w/ totalizer - digital 1 inch. UL explosion proof electric fuel pump w/ power cord - 115 v / 30 gallons per minute (min.), and E/valve assembly with hose, pump mount assembly, and bottom roller for hose control. Hose reel kit with auto-rewind - 1 inch by 75 feet (min. length) UL fuel hose with static wire and spring retractable hose reel. 1 inch automatic fueling nozzle, high flow, and nozzle holder. Fuel tank painted white (two urethane primer coats, three polyurethane paint coats). Fuel appropriate signage and placards (gasoline). Outer Tank/Frame: The outer tank to base and/or frame of the fuel tank shall be constructed in a manner to ensure fork lifting, loading, transporting, offloading, and relocation do not negatively affect the structural integrity of the tank or refueling equipment. Require tie-down or mounting clips at all four corners of the frame to allow mounting on a barge deck. Frame shall be sufficient to contain fueling/refueling equipment (i.e. hose reel, fuel pump, etc.). Frame shall have full load lifting eyes/lugs. Static grounding wire system. Shipping to the Mississippi River Project - Service Base at 25549 189nd St., Pleasant Valley, IA 52767 shall be included in vendors estimate total. Date of delivery: The Contractor shall deliver within 45 calendar days after Contract Award a minimum of one fully manufactured and assembled gasoline fuel tank as specified and identified in the Base Bid Scope of Work and the bidding schedule. The Contractor shall be given an additional 45 calendar days to deliver OPTION-A for the second gasoline fuel tank, should the Government choose to exercise the option. The Government reserves the right to exercise OPTION-A by no later than 30 October 2012. SEE SOLICITATION
