Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a sole source modification to contract N00024-08-C-6282 held with Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors (LM MS2), 497 Electronics Pkwy Liverpool NY 13088-6062 for the procurement of a TB-37 Multi-Function Towed Array (MFTA) Advanced Development Model (ADM) for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS). Additionally, NAVSEA intends to procure 20,000 hours of engineering and technical services and associated Other Directs Costs (ODCs) on a sole source basis. Services will include engineering/technical support and depot support/repair. Services and associated ODCs are required to allow for MFTA sustainment until Naval Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) Newport, RI is certified as the Government Repair Depot. As the manufacturer of the TB-37 MFTA, LM MS2 is the only source capable of developing a TB-37 MFTA ADM variant and providing the required services in the timeframe needed. LM MS2 is the developer and current producer of the TB-37 MFTA and possesses critical knowledge integral to providing support services to the MFTA program. No solicitation documents exists, but parties who believe they are capable of meeting this requirement are encouraged to submit a statement of capabilities to Contract Specialist Ryan Hackett by email at ryan.hackett1@navy.mil. The Government will not pay for any information received and the information will only be used by the Government in considering whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
