Description

Special Notice This notice is published for informational purposes only and not as a request for competitive proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa, FL intends to award a "Sole Source" (Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition) contract, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) Only One Responsible Source and with FAR 6.302-2(a)(2) Unusual and Compelling Urgency, to Philips Medical Systems. The procurement is for the upgrade of Philips MP70 Monitors and to provide installation of Serial I/F Ports so the monitors can interface with the Picis Sytem. This equipment is proprietary in nature, and Philips Medical Systems is the sole manufacturer that can provide the parts. This requirement will be classified under NAICS 334510. No solicitation document is available. Interested persons may respond to the requirement by 03:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, August 12, 2012. Send responses to john.burch2@va.gov.
