- VA69D-12-I-1048; Source Sought Notice for NFPA Code Training Milwaukee, WI Jason Rathsack, Contract Specialist, NCO 12 GLAC 07/12/2012 The US Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking potential sources capable of providing all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, supervision, quality control, and management necessary to conduct on-site training of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes; specifically, the Health Care Facilities Code including 2012 edition updates (herein NFPA 99) and National Fire Alarm Code including 2010 edition updates (herein NFPA 72). There will be a total of two trainings separated by approximately 30 days; one (3) day training on NFPA 99 and one (2) day training on NFPA 72. The target audience is 25 and may include architects, engineers, designers, fire personnel, health care administrators, building managers, safety personnel and anyone who uses or enforces NFPA 99 and/or NFPA 72. The training is meant to be a higher level and detailed instruction of the aforementioned material to include on-site instruction as well as presentation of training material. The contractor will be evaluated on their experience directly related to conducting NFPA 72 and 99 trainings, technical approach, and price. The applicable NAICS Code is 541690 with a size standard of $14.0Million. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; firm's experience in providing NFPA 72 or 99 training in a professional setting and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
