Description

The Network Contracting Office - NCO7 intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with the Medical University of South Carolina, 171 Ashley Avenue, Charleston, SC 29425, to procure Emergent Liver/Heart Transplant Services via the commercial industry in accordance with the VA National Transplant Program and the Centers for Medicare approved transplant programs. The services are estimated to cost $2,832,335.00 over a five year period (inclusive of a base period and four (4) additional one year option years). It is essential to the government's needs to have the Medical University of South Carolina provide the requested live/heart transplant services on an emergent basis to accommodate veteran patients with clinical situations installation services, to have them honor a lifetime guarantee on all track and installation, which is essential to the government's needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive bids and a solicitation document will not be issued to the general public based on the limitations to issue a final award to a member of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network located in South Carolina. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611310 and the small business size standard in dollars for this NAICS Code is $7 million.
