Description

This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.2 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and the solicitation will be available at the Federal Business Opportunities website. The solicitation number is CT2096-12 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58. The North American Industry Classification System code is 313230 Nonwoven Fabric Mills, the Small Business size standard is 500. This requirement is unrestricted. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a two-year, firm-fixed-price with 2 one-year options, Requirements type contract for the following commercial item: Fire Retardant Thermal Barrier, 100 yard roll, 88" W used for the manufacture of bedding mattresses for sale to the General Services Administration (GSA) and other federal agencies. Specifications that apply to this acquisition are CAL TB 117 (California Technical Bulletin); CAL TB 129; CAL TB 603 and U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission 16 CFR Part 1633.
