- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Woman Owned Small Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for Building 4061 DFAC Phase 1 at Fort Campbell, KY. The Central Energy Plant (CEP) that serves low temperature hot water (LTHW) and chilled water (ChW) to approximately 40 buildings in the 3700 and 4000 blocks using primary, secondary, and tertiary piping loops. Recent piping modifications at the barracks building have caused pressure problems in the distribution system and flow problems in adjacent dining and administration buildings. This project resolves these problems by eliminating the chilled water tertiary loops in the buildings, simplifying LTHW piping to domestic water heaters, rebalancing the flows to and within the buildings, and verifying the operation of selected controls in the building and at the CEP. Contract duration is estimated at 270 calendar days. The estimated cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email 20 July 2012 by 2:00p Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - a.Projects similar in scope to this project include: Any project having installation, repair, or replacement of hydronic equipment and piping in commercial or government office, classroom, or dormitory type buildings. b.Projects similar in size to this project include: Projects involving mechanical work in 20,000+ SF office, dormitories or classroom buildings. c.Projects similar in dollar value to this project include: Projects involving repair to or replacement of hydronic systems located in mechanical rooms of the building types and size noted above.
