Description
The purpose of this Amendment is to add information to the synopsis issued on June 19, 2012. Regarding any publication of the work under this order, USGS tsunami project scientists will take the lead in publication. The contractor will be a co-author, where appropriate. The choice of whether to publish in a journal or as a USGS report will be made by the USGS scientists. Required submittals for evaluation will be sent to USGS via email to jstevenson@usgs.gov. This requirement consists of a base period and one option period. The contractor will not perform any surveys, but needs knowledge of geodetic control surveys, single beam or multibeam bathymetric surveys and topographic surveys using RTK GPS, or total station. This project uses a variety of remotely sensed data including satellite data, LiDAR and aerial photos. The contractor must be familiar with these data types and must be able to analyze the data to the point where it meets project objectives for reports. Tsunami project data is available for the project but downloading available imagery may also be needed. No new imagery will be collected. No purchase of specific planned satellite sensor missions is anticipated. No planning or leading field expeditions are contemplated. The contractor must have knowledge of all techniques used by USGS for grain size analysis (laser diffraction, settling columns, sieving) but will not be required to perform that analysis. The contractor will not be responsible for any geochemical studies for the tsunami project. No isotope studies on sediments on sediments collected for this study are contemplated. The NAICS Size Standard is corrected to $14M. This requirement includes a base year from September 16, 2012 to September 15, 2013 and an option year from September 16, 2013 to September 15, 2014. The closing date remains the same at July 11, 2012.
