- USPS CLEANING CONSOLIDATION REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Cleaning Services for USPS Facilities SUMMARY The Facility Services Category Management Center (FSCMC) of the U.S. Postal Service intends to issue solicitations for janitorial services at USPS facilities in various areas of the country. This Request for Information (RFI) is to seek information from potential service providers who have the capabilities to implement and manage consolidated, multi-site cleaning contracts. While the USPS intends to issue one or more Requests for Proposal (RFP) to suppliers who respond, this RFI does not constitute an assurance that such RFP's will be issued. As a result of a subsequent RFP, the USPS may elect to invite qualified suppliers to conduct a presentation before any contract awards are made. REQUIREMENTS USPS is seeking to identify suppliers who can supply janitorial services to postal facilities. Suppliers must be able to demonstrate proficiencies as follows: · Have the ability to provide services in any part of a service District · Manage subcontractors, as applicable. · Be familiar with Small Minority, and Women Owned Businesses Federal subcontract reporting. · Ability to provide clear and concise quarterly reports electronically. Sites that are authorized for outsourced/contracted cleaning services are generally: Located outside larger cities (rural, suburban, and small cities and towns) Under 18,000 square feet (interior space) Require cleaning 3-6 days per week Service must be provided while postal staff is present in the facility (i.e., it cannot be performed in the evenings or at night) Staff performing the cleaning work must be legally eligible to work in the United States and be able to meet the requirements for a basic security clearance. Contract will be for interior cleaning only - landscaping, snow shoveling, or other exterior tasks are not included in the scope of work. This RFI will be used to prequalify vendors for contracts in various areas across the United States, as existing contracts expire or are reevaluated. Requests for Proposals will be issued in mid-July for consolidated cleaning contracts in the following Districts: Western Area (anticipated contract start date of 09/01/2012): Colorado-Wyoming District Seattle District (most of Washington and the northern part of Idaho) Portland District (Oregon and part of southwest Washington) Pacific Area (anticipated contract start date of 10/01/2012) Bay Valley District (Oakland and San Jose areas) Sacramento District (inland regions in the northern half of California) San Francisco District (coastal regions north of San Francisco to the Oregon state line. If you do not currently service any of these Districts, RFPs for other Districts in other Areas of the country will be issued at later dates. Your response will be kept on file for up to 2 years. SUBMISSION INFORMATION In your response, you must provide the following basic information, to allow us to review your capabilities. A more detailed proposal will be required in the subsequent Requests for Proposals: Specify the areas/regions of the country you currently serve. What is your past 3 year's average sales volume? How much of that volume is cleaning/janitorial services? How many sites are you currently servicing? What experience do you have in federal government contracts? Your TIN and D&B number.
