- This is a presolicitation notice issued IAW FAR 5.204 for acquisition of Motorola MCC7500 Dispatch Consoles/Workstations and Installation, Bldg. 947, Misawa AB, Japan. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary for installation of MCC7500 Dispatch Consoles at the Misawa Air Base Fire Station II dispatch center, Bldg. 947, Misawa AB, Japan. This acquisition is a Brand Name requirement. All system components shall be as required from Motorola for installation of the MCC7500 including but not limited to the licensing requirements for any soft/hardware required for the installation and shall be provided by the contractor as part of the total cost. Components that are not certified by Motorola as compatible with the system requirements shall not be used. Brand Name Justification document, Statement of Work (SOW), and information listed below will be provided upon issuance of the solicitation IAW FAR 5.207(c): - National Stock Number (NSN). - Part number(s). - Quantity. - Unit of issue. - Destination information. - Delivery schedule. - Duration of the contract period. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or after 10 July 2012 Japan Standard Time (JST). The closing date and time (response date) for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package, which will be made available on Electronic Posting System (EPS) government point of entry (GPE) web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov at that time. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. Potential offerors MUST register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. Contractor MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database or his/her proposal will not be considered for award. Further information of Central Contractor Registration is available at web site http://www.ccr.gov. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation.
