Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. A12PS01691 herein cited is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be procured under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333120. This acquisition is unrestricted, both large and small business can submit a proposal, Size standards in number of employees is 750. Contractors are encouraged to submit a signed and dated proposal, accompanied with the equipment technical specs, the contractor's DUNS number and a completed copy of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items by mail to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Rocky Mountain Regional Office, Attn: Kris Kohlhoff, 316 North 26th Street, Billings MT 59101; fax to 406-247-7908, or e-mail to kris.kohlhoff@bia.gov no later than 3:00pm Mountain Daylight Time, July 17, 2012. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is issuing this RFQ to procure 1 portable 6x20 portable screening plant consisting of the following or equal: Tandem axel chassis constructed of heavy duty wide flange beam, heavy duty spring suspension w/ (8) 11Rx22.5 radial tires; brake package-air brakes, emergency valve and plumbing; light package - brake and directional signals; WEG 40hp 1200rpm screen motor, two 24" reversible cross conveyors w/Dodge #3 7 1/2 hp; CEMA B idlers and 2 ply belt; 48" under screen conveyor w/rear discharge; Dodge #4 15hp CEMA B idlers, 2 ply belt & Martin wiper, 3/8 AR top deck overs chute w/blending gates; 3/8 AR center deck overs chute w/blending gates; 3/8 AR bottom deck overs chute, ? under screen hopper, diamond deck catwalk/access ladder and railing on 3 sides of the screen, 4 crank down leveling jacks for unloading and cribbing; chord holder; appropriate guarding, one coat primer and one coat beige in high solids machinery enamel. Owners manual in two copies for parts and maintenance; switchgear package - w/NEMA 4R enclosure, Square D NEMA components, breakers reversing starters for cross conveyors, three position start/stop pushbuttons, main disconnect and emergency stop.. Total$_____________ Estimated delivery date: _________________________. DELIVERY: Delivery shall be at the BIA Transportation Yard, 1202 S. 32nd Street West, Billings MT 59102. Shipping must be free on board (FOB) destination, which means the seller must deliver the goods on its conveyance to the destinations specified above and the seller is responsible for the cost of shipping and risk of loss prior to actual delivery at the specified destination. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical, past performance and price. Technical and past performance when combined, are more important than price.
