- Description
- Notice of Sole Source Intent This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. The Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office intends to exercise Option Year II, the final option year, of Purchase Order Number R10PX67017 for Gas Detection Equipment Maintenance services at the Montana Area Office, Billings, Montana. Reclamation has found DXP Enterprises, Inc. to be the only source authorized to maintain the equipment. This option is being exercised pursuant to FAR Part 17 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Since Reclamation believes that only one responsible source can fully provide the services that will satisfy the agency's requirements, a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition was prepared on September 3, 2010. The Government intends to exercise the option on September 1, 2012. Vendors that have questions regarding the sole source nature of the requirement or vendors that believe they can fully provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer. In order to allow for sufficient Government consideration and potential quote evaluation, vendors shall submit their written Letter of Interest no later than August 15, 2012. Responses received after August 15, 2012 may not be considered by the Government. Responses to this notice should be mailed to the Bureau of Reclamation - GP-5000; PO Box 36900; Billings, Montana 59107, or faxed to 406-247-7798, Attn: Amanda Somerville, or e-mailed to asomerville@usbr.gov. All responses should include the vendor's Duns and Bradstreet (DUNS) Number and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Vendors should additionally identify themselves as either a "small business" or an "other than small business" under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 811219. The applicable Small Business Size Standard is $19 million. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Note 1: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the federal government must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors may register at http://www.ccr.gov. Note 2: Effective January 1, 2005, any contractor submitting a quotation, offer or proposal to the government must complete their representations and certifications online. All representations and certifications which use to appear in Section K are now located online.
