- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Infrared Window NNC12436626Q which was posted on June 14, 2012. You are notified that the following changes are made: Questions: 1)Is the drawing the hardware referenced in the solicitation? 2)What type of desired material to make the hardware (Aluminum, Stainless Steel or other) 3)What are the basic dimension specs of the attached drawing? 4)Are there any optical specs for the window? (Power, irregularity, etc.) 5)Is the thickness 0.5inch of window or mount? If it is total mount thickness, what is the thickness of window? 6)Does the specified outer diameter include mount outer step or not? 7)What is the height of the step? Answers: 1)The drawing was referenced in the solicitation, specifically in the notes section. 2)The material for the mount was not specified and can be any type of material, as long as it satisfies the safety requirements specified in the solicitation. 3)Dimensions for the mount were not specified; the size can be whatever is determined necessary per the safety requirements specified in the solicitation. 4)The window should be coated with a 3-12 micron wavelength ZnSe coating for maximum transmission of IR. (see wavelength drawing) 5)The window should be 0.5 thick. 6)The outer diameter stated in the request is for the ZnSe window. 7)The height of the step should be whatever is deemed safe per the required safety analysis that should be provided with the bid. The due date for responses is extended to July 6, 2012. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
