- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Sam Houston (FSH) intends to issue a solicitation for administrative and clerical support services to the Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB), Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The mission of the WTB is to provide quality patient management support services to active duty military personnel hospitalized at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). BAMC is a modern state-or-the-art, 450-bed health care facility that provides level-one trauma and graduate medical education. The multi-storied medical treatment facility has 1.5 million square feet of operational space and a normal bed capacity of 450, of which 48 are ICU beds and 40 are dedicated to the Institute of Surgical Research Burn Unit. The contractor shall provide qualified personnel and services except for those items furnished by the Government as listed in Section 4 of the performance work statement (PWS) necessary to perform administrative support services for the WTB. This is a follow-on requirement. The current contract is GS-07F-0275U. The designated NAICS Code is 561110, Office Administrative Services, with a size standard of $7.0 million. This acquisition anticipates a HUBZone set-aside. The contract type is FFP. The Government anticipates a contract length of a 12 month base period and two (2) one-year option periods. The solicitation and resultant contract will contain FAR 52.217-8, Extension of Services, which will be evaluated as part of the contract. However, the extension period is not reflected in the period of performance. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) utilizing FAR Part 15, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The Government anticipates release of the solicitation on or about 13 Jul 2012, with a projected closing date of 28 Jul 2012. These are projected dates and are subject to change. This solicitation and all amendments will be issued to Federal Business Opportunities Website (FedBizOpps) at https://www.fbo.gov/. Offerors are required to check the above websites daily to be notified of any changes to the solicitation. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. A pre-proposal conference and or site visit will not be held. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to receive a government contract award.
