- Request for Quotes Site Surveying Services Haleakalā, Maui, Hawai'i The Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc. (AURA), on behalf of the National Solar Observatory, is soliciting Request for Quotes (RFQ) from contractors licensed in the State of Hawai‘i to provide site surveying services, as needed, in support of the Advanced Technology Solar Telescope (ATST) project at the summit of Haleakalā. The award is expected to be a Level of Effort contract beginning immediately and extending through the end of FY15. Tasks will include, but not be limited to: Layout building lines and offsets; Concrete form elevations; Verify as-built elevations; roadway grading; steel elevations and structure; embedment's pre- and post-concrete pour; Critical elevations and locations for all structures; On-site marking/flagging; Auto-cad/drafting services as needed; Survey bypass area at Haleakala National Park Entrance Station for finish grade. This effort is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) (Public Law 111-5) and the requirements set forth at 2 CFR Part 176, "Award Terms for Assistance Agreements that include funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Public Law 111-5," shall be applied. Firms interested in the effort should send the following to the Contracts Officer, AURA-ATST Project by either fax (520-318-8500) or email (ATSTproposal@noao.edu) and must be received not later than Friday, July 13 20112 3:00 PM MST. 1. A one page letter of interest including physical mailing address, telephone and fax number, and email address (if available) for a contact person. 2. Copy of State of Hawai‘i business license. 3. A labor rate and support cost sheet (transportation, materials, tasks, etc.). A contractor will be selected on the basis of best value to AURA. All submissions will become the property of AURA. AURA reserves the right to reject any bid.
