Description

Attachment 1 through 6 Solicitation Package The services covered under this solicitation are for the removal of conifer from riparian and meadow areas on National Forest System lands on the Gunnison Ranger District. More specifically in the upper Los Pinos Creek Watershed. The intent of the conifer removal is to maintain or restore the healthy riparian condition in the stream corridor locations where the willow/carex plant association is being replaced by a timber overstory of lodgepole pine and spruce. These timber choked stream corridors typically lack plant diversity and benefit to wildlife or forage production. National Forest lands covered under this contract are delineated on the attached maps and include up to 85 acres. This project is located approximately 45 miles south/southwest of Gunnison, Colorado in Saguache County. Vehicle access is availabe from Highway 114 to Saguache County Road 3083. A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for July 3rd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Old Agency Work Center (a map is attached). The anticipated date for award of ths contract is July 20, 2012. The solicitation is available for free download at www.fbo.gov All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor's Registry (CCR) in accordance to FAR 52.204-7 to be considered responsive to this solicitation.
