Project Number 636-12-819, PICU Door Alarms. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to install, connect and proof-test anti-ligature door top alarms on 24 patient accessible doors in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on the 10th floor of Building 1 at the Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Omaha VA Medical Center located at 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, NE. Work includes, but is not limited to, General Construction, Electrical, Carpentry, Drywall, Painting and other work necessary to provide complete and professional installation of door alarms. All work shall be performed in accordance with project Scope of Work, specifications and drawings and all applicable local and VA codes and standards. Solicitation Number VA263-12-Q-0830 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about July 2, 2012. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held sometime during the week of July 9 through July 13, 2012 (See solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide one form of Alternate Payment Protection as described in the solicitation within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 90 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00.
