Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope Required salient characteristics: 1.Integrated assistant's microscope with independent focusing and its own motorized zoom. The magnification of the scope can be performed independently of or parallel (linked) to the zoom of the main observer (freely configurable via software). The stereopsis corresponds to that of the main surgeon's microscope and functions without light loss for the main surgeon. 2.The stereoscopic observer tube optics has a camera installed. 3.An integrated keratoscope which enables visualization of corneal astigmatism. Integrated means that the keratoscope and wiring is contained within the microscope body. 4.The keratoscope does not need to be removed for the addition of the BIOM used in posterior segment surgery. 5.USB recording function for direct video capture on USB storage medium. 6.System automatically adjusts both inverters when the fundus viewing system is inserted, which: a.Reduces XY speed b.Inverts the X-Y coupling, and c.Deactivates the light of OPMI Lumera 700 7.The integrated beam splitter guarantees a constant work height even when additional accessories are attached (e.g. stereo co-observation tube). 8.Wireless fully-programmable foot control panel. 9.An integrated camera and recording system. Integrated means that the recording device is physically contained within the body of the microscope. 10.The recording device can be activated by the same foot pedal that controls the microscope. 11.In the event of a malfunction or failure of a motorized function (such as zoom, slit illumination, SCI or focus), the surgical procedure needs to be safely concluded. A manual operation mode will allow the microscope to function safely via special knobs until the surgical procedure can be safely ended. 12.The motorized retina protection filter (blue barrier filter) provides added protection against phototoxicity and can be activated via a foot control panel or handgrips. 13.APO chromatic optics with high light transmission, resulting in maximum image quality for surgery and documentation. 14.The ability to switch between Xenon and halogen light sources without changing bulbs.
