Description: ACH Form SUBJECT: Replacement parts for Nexion ICP-MS machines SOLICITATION NUMBER: 2012-Q-14678 RESPONSE DUE DATE/TIME: 10 July 2012/ Before 2:00 pm (1400) EASTERN TIME SECTION A - DESCRIPTION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-40. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a Standard Size of 500 employees. THIS IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This is an RFQ for the procurement of Replacement Parts for Nexion ICP-MS machines. The CDC's Division of Laboratory Sciences (DLS) has a requirement for Replacement Parts for its Nexion ICP-Mass Spectrometers. These spectrometers are used to analyze samples from the smoker's subset of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey and to conduct actinide analysis for chemical terrorism and radiological terrorism response. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract as a result of this solicitation that will include the terms and conditions that are set forth herein.
