- 8(a) set aside. The intent of this special notice is to alert 8(a) businesses operating under NAICS code 541820, Public Relations Agencies Consulting Services, of an opportunity under t he U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Golden Field Office's (GFOs), solicitation DE-SOL-0003509. Systems restrictions prevent posting under more than one NAICS code. The requirement for Technical and Business Support Services is a combination of the current DOE contracts numbered 1) GS-23F0102R/DE-AT01-07EE11182 with Sentech, Inc. for administrative support services and 2) DE-EE0000002 with New West - Energetics JV, LLC for technical support services. The solicitation contains four business segments with the following NAICS codes and size standards: Technical/Scientific with NAICS of 541330 Engineering Services (Contracts and Subcontracts for Engineering Services Awarded Under the National Energy Policy Act of 1992) with a size standard of $35.5 million; Administrative with NAICS of 541611 Administrative, Management, and General Management Consulting Services with a size standard of $14 million; Communications with a NAICS of 541820 Public Relations Agencies - Consulting Services with a size standard of $14 million; and Conferencing with a NAICS of 561920 Convention and Trade show Organizers (Meeting-Conference Planning Support Services with a size standard of $7 million. Proposals may be submitted on one or more business segments. One or more awards will be made from the solicitation. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The solicitation will be issued at www.fbo.gov on or about August 6, 2012. A pre-proposal conference is planned for approximately August 14 th to be held at the DOE, Forrestal Building, Washington DC and also broadcast via webinar. Details on the conference will follow.
