Description

The US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Center in Tucson, Arizona has a requirement for Radio Frequency Identification MicroTags, Tag Readers, Supporting Interfaces and supporting Software for readers. This equipment is sufficient to outfit 8 bee colonies with two tag readers that can monitor the entering and exiting of bees through the colony entrance. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source Micro Sensys RFID in Motion located in Erfurt, Germany under authority of FAR 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilty to respond to the requirment or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received with FIVE days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this is solely within the discretion of the government. Infomraiton received will normally be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
